Everyone Wants Good Search Engine Listings!
Don't rush out to hire someone to "optimize" your website. Many, many
search engine optimization services utilize methods that can harm your listings
in the long run, or even get your site removed from one or more search engines.
In short, many "optimizers" figure out how to cheat/bypass the current algorithms to gain a good listing.
The problem with that approach is that when the algorithm changes (as they often do) you will likely lose your listings.
It is much better to work with the search engine business model, providing value for their visitors, to achieve results.
Think of it this way. It's like crashing a party. Fun for a while, but if you get found out, you're out the door.
Crashing the party is rather silly, when invitations are free if you just follow the steps to request one.
Same thing. You can get "in" the search engines without following their rules, but if you follow their rules,
you'll be allowed to stay. See?
There is so much misunderstanding and misinformation in the field of search engine listings
that Google has created a section of their site to caution the public about "submission and optimization"
services.
I highly recommend that you read the following before you even consider hiring anyone
to submit or "optimize" your website.
